These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Duramazwi mobile and desktop apps, the websites at duramazwi.co.zw and app.duramazwi.co.zw, and related services (collectively, "Services"). By downloading, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Use of the Services
Duramazwi is a Shona language dictionary and learning resource. You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, or bulk-download dictionary content, or redistribute it, without our written permission;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the apps, except where permitted by law;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, or attempt to bypass usage limits or access controls;
- Use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
2. Accounts
Some features require you to sign in. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please let us know promptly at contact@duramazwi.co.zw if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Free and Premium Features
Duramazwi is free to download. Some features are subject to daily usage limits on the free tier, and additional features may be available through a paid Premium subscription. Prices, features, and limits are shown before purchase and may change over time. Subscriptions purchased through an app store or payment provider are also subject to that provider's terms, including its billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund policies.
4. Content and Accuracy
We work hard to keep definitions, translations, proverbs, idioms, and ideophones accurate, but language is rich and varied, and the Services are provided for educational and reference purposes. Some content, including cultural context and translations, is generated with the help of artificial intelligence and may contain errors. Please do not rely on the Services as the sole source for official, legal, medical, or other professional purposes.
5. Intellectual Property
The Services, including the dictionary content, design, logos, and software, are owned by Duramazwi or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or content beyond the personal use described above.
6. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, corrections, or other feedback, you agree that we may use it to improve the Services without any obligation to you.
7. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The Services may display advertisements and may link to or rely on third-party services such as app stores, analytics, advertising, and payment providers. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices. Please see our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
